A Report From A- Level Supervisor

UNIVERSITY of CAMBRIDGE
International Examination
Cambridge International School

Gandaki Higher Secondary Boarding School offers the General Certificate of Education Advanced Level or A Levels, which is the gold standard of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) pre-university qualifications in the world. It has exactly the same value in admitting students to all universities as its UK equivalent. It is also accepted as the proof of academic ability for entry into universities, institutes of higher education and professional courses. The qualification is recognized in the U.K., universities of the European Union, Australia, United States of America, New Zealand, India, Singapore, and other countries. The Cambridge A-Levels is a staged assessment where the AS Level and A2 papers may be taken in separate sessions. Candidates sit for the AS Level after the twelve months of the academic calendar and the A2 Level at the end of the following twelve months to achieve the full A Levels. We provide
pure science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computing, and General Paper. Normally, only 5 subjects are taken; occasionally, exceptional students will take 4 subjects including general paper that is required to continue Bachelor Level studies in India and Nepal. The A Levels examination is set and assessed by the University of Cambridge International Examinations in the U.K. Stanford College's tie-up with several overseas universities enables students to continue their higher education immediately after completing their A Levels course. Thousands of learners worldwide gain places at leading universities every year with Cambridge International AS and A Levels. The syllabuses develop a deep understanding of subjects and independent thinking skills. Gandaki Higher Secondary Boarding School does supplement our A Level programme with extracurricular activities in our A Level programmes
